The AdC BLENDED home-based LEARNING

School Year (SY) 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, with the threat of the global pandemic and upon the advisories from the Department of Education, Department of Health and other Government Agencies, ACADEMIA del CHRISTIFIDELIS, Inc. (AdC) have implemented the AdC Blended Home – Based Learning.

The AdC Blended Home – Based Learning is a combination of Synchronous and Asynchronous Classes. Synchronous classes or online classes are done together virtually via zoom application. During Synchronous classes the teachers and the learners are having their class discussions and virtual activities TOGETHER. During the said classes, the learners will logged in to their virtual classrooms and participate in the variety of virtual discussions and activities. Attendance and class participation are all noted down and monitored during synchronous classes.

The Asynchronous tasks or offline tasks are learner centered activities that learners will be doing on their own. These activities are to be done during times when virtual or online classes are not held. These activities include: watching the recorded AdC Collection of Lesson Videos (AdC-CoLeV) posted in the FB group pages; accessing the tasks in the LMS or in the FB group pages; answering of the modules and the workbooks. These Asynchronous tasks are ideally done with the guidance of their parents or guardians especially for the younger learners.

The AdC-CoLeV are teacher prepared videos highlighting the important aspects of the lesson of the week. This is patterned from the 1990's educational videos seen on television like "Sineskwela" ; Batibot; Mathinik; Bayani; Flying House; Superbook and Sesame Street. These videos are teacher made wherein the teacher themselves is the main character and these are not edited videos from youtube or virtual sources. These are posted days prior to the lessons wherein learners can view it just like watching an educational video and they can even repeat or "rewind" it for mastery.

In both the Synchronous and Asynchronous, AdC takes into consideration the DATA PRIVACY ACT - Republic Act NO. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act is a law that seeks to protect all forms of information, be it private, personal, or sensitive. It is meant to cover natural an0d juridical persons involved in the processing of personal information. Furthermore, both the synchronous and asynchronous tasks are monitored to ensure that the learning competencies are achieved but also these are all aligned to the attainment of AdC's PVMGO and the school's motto -Fidelity to Christ!
