ACADEMIA del CHRISTIFIDELIS, Inc.

The idea of a school emerged in 2001. The thought of opening a pre-elementary school, in the Municipality of Lilo-an Cebu, was considered to answer the demand of the growing population in the area. Thus, in the year 2002, CHRISTIFIDELIS LEARNING CENTER, Inc. was established.

 

CHRISTIFIDELIS LEARNING CENTER, Inc. is a non-profit and non-stock proprietary educational institution; it is committed to providing Christian Quality Education at an affordable school fee. CHRISTIFIDELIS is a Latin word with the following meaning: as a NOUN: it means “follower of Christ” and as an ADJECTIVE: it means “faithful to Christ”.

By 2002, the school opened its pre-elementary level – playgroup, nursery and kindergarten with 11 learners and 3 teachers. By SY 2004-2005, owing to the demand of the parents, CHRISTIFIDELIS LEARNING CENTER opened all 4 levels of the pre-elementary and the Grade I level. And every school year thereafter, a grade level was added until all elementary levels were completed by SY 2007 – 2008. It was July 27, 2009 that the DepEd Government Recognition was given to the pre-elementary and elementary level. In April 2010, the name of the school was amended from CHRISTIFIDELIS LEARNING CENTER, Inc. to ACADEMIA del CHRISTIFIDELIS, Inc. by the Securities and Exchange Commission. In February 2012, AdC received a Government Recognition for the SECONDARY LEVEL.

 

With the SENIOR HIGHSCHOOL opening, AdC has received it Government Provisional Permit to open and operate SENIOR HIGHSCHOOL – General Academic Strand (GAS) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Strand and received another permit to open and operate the ABM and HUMSS strand.

 

The educational institution became a member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) in SY 2019-2020. The CEAP Recognition was received during the CEAP National Convention last Sept. 27, 2019 in Iloilo City.

 

Last June 9, 2020, ACADEMIA del CHRISTIFIDELIS, Inc. received its certification as an Education Service Contracting (ESC) school. The ESC certification was such a blessing to the school considering that the pandemic caused a lockdown in the community and a financial struggle to most parents.

 

During the pandemic – SY 2020-2021, AdC adopted the “Blended Home Based Learning” where learning was through: online classes; watching the recorded lesson videos of the teachers; answering the modules and “on call” consultations. By SY 2022-2023 where the “Hyflex Classes were adopted”, where students may choose to attend face-to-face synchronous class sessions in-person or join the online classes. By  SY 22-23 , limited face to face classes were allowed thus allowing students to be in school or in person in shortened class schedule everyday. In SY 2023-2024, AdC received it's SHS permit to open the ABM and the HUMMS strand. Also during the school year, full face to face classes was implemented in all levels.

Through the years, ACADEMIA del CHRISTIFIDELIS, Inc. still remains true to its dedication in providing Christian Quality education to the community at an affordable fee. AdC strives to live up to its PVMGO by ensuring that embedded in the curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities, is the school's motto :        " Fidelity to Christ".
